who are we?

Founded by Tegen James and Kathryn Burge, Teka was born from a shared vision shaped by over 38 years of combined experience in healthcare. We began our journey as friends, going on to train as nurses together, growing our friendship and our passion for helping others.

Today, that passion lives on through Teka.

Tegen

Tegen is your dedicated aesthetics clinician, offering safe, subtle, and natural results tailored to enhance your unique beauty. With a deep understanding of clinical practice and skin health, she’s here to guide you on a personalised journey toward rejuvenation and self-confidence. Tegen graduated from Plymouth University in 2014 with DipHE Adult Nursing and has gone on to complete advanced nursing qualifications including her non-medical prescribing. Tegen trained at Derma Medical, the UK's number one aesthetics training provider.

Kathyrn

Kathryn, who hung up her stethoscope in 2019 to pursue a career in healthcare management, supports Teka behind the scenes — ensuring everything runs smoothly and our clients receive the highest standard of care and professionalism. Kathryn graduated from Plymouth University in 2014 with DipHE Adult Nursing and has gone onto complete AMSPAR level 5 Health Management.
